From a Struggling IGNOU Student to Building a Platform for Thousands
In 2013, iGNITED iDEA didn’t start with a business plan or investor funding. It started with frustration.

After weeks of struggle, missed deadlines, and rewriting the same synopsis three times — the project finally got approved. But that experience left a mark. Because the problem wasn’t intelligence or effort. The problem was that no one was there to say “here’s how you do it, here’s what IGNOU expects, here’s where you’re going wrong.”
That’s when the idea took root. What if there was a place where IGNOU students could find the guidance they needed — not from random sources, but from people who had actually been through the same system and understood it inside out?
It started small. Helping a few batchmates with their projects. Sharing assignment writing tips in a WhatsApp group. Compiling previous year question papers that were scattered across the internet. Word spread. More students reached out. Then students from other programmes, other cities, other universities.
12 years later, that WhatsApp group has become iGNITED iDEA — a platform trusted by over 10,000 students, powered by 500+ subject matter experts, and serving not just IGNOU students, but entrepreneurs and freelancers who need the same thing every student needed back then: someone in their corner who actually knows what they’re doing.
